We are happy to welcome Cheryl Ann Kubiak RMT to the Balance Wellness family.

What is Reiki?

Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) is a Japanese word used to denote any healing process that involves the use of Life Force Energy. Rei means “spiritual consciousness that which understands the person, the problems, the cause and how to heal.” Kei is the connotation for “life force energy”.

What are the benefits of Reiki?

A Reiki treatment reduces stress as it balances energy within the body. It also induces deep relaxation. Some clients find such comfort in a session that they drift into a relaxing sleep, which still allows for a completely successful treatment. Reiki is a powerful, yet gentle, effective treatment for improving the healing process of:

  • emotional trauma
  • anxiety
  • Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
  • menopause
  • cancer
  • multiple sclerosis
  • irritable bowel syndrome
  • reducing side-effects of chemotherapy
  • reducing side-effects of surgery and other invasive procedures
  • releases and eliminates toxins
  • much more

[please note that Reiki is not a replacement for traditional medicine, but when used in conjunction with modern conventional medical practices, it will improve the patient’s outcome. It is also an excellent preventative treatment towards the reduction of the negative effects of the stress we experience in our daily lives.

What to do after a Reiki Treatment:

Treatments generally last 45-60 minutes. It is important to drink as much water as possible after the treatment. This will flush out the toxins from within your body. Continuing treatments benefit everyone, either to maintain wellness or address chronic conditions.

The Avana Method of Reiki:

Avana means joy. The Avana Method is an original program of integrative techniques and music which focus on the balance of free flowing, unobstructed energy that promotes wellness in a physical, spiritual, mental, and emotional level.
